Simply Aesthetic has recently introduced Thermojet Morfology (TM) to complement its range body contouring options. Based on the principle of Thermolipolysis (lipolysis is the breakdown of fat stored in fat cells), the application of heat in the form of infrared rays can often speed up the metabolism of fat cells. This can result in reduction unwanted fat stores and an instant reduction in girth.

TM is unique as it specifically targets the stubborn fat areas while taking each individual’s morphology (body shape) into the equation. Areas with more fat accummulation are treated with higher energy levels.

During treatment the patient is wrapped in silicon bandages over the arms, abdomen, hips and thighs. The procedure lasts 45-50 minutes depending on morphology and treatment program.

According to Simply Aesthitic, “The benefits continue after each treatment, as the raised temperature stimulates the brain to set the basal metabolic rate at an increased level for the following 3-4 days.”

Infrared technology in its numerous forms has been recognized for the benefits it provides such as detoxification, rejuvenation and the enhancement of cellular health. This procedure can be used in conjunction with a traditional liposuction plan or to provide periodic maintenace as required.

On the day of surgery when you enter your liposuction facility you will be asked to put on a loose fitting surgical clothing or robe. The doctor will closely examine your body and sketch out the game plan. Generally this consists our outlining fatty areas with a black Sharpie permanent marker. The doctor will use these marking to determine where to insert the liposuction tube.

The actual surgery:

Prior to surgery you will be given a general anesthetic. The liposuction doctor will make a small incision in one or more locations near your fat deposits. Next a stainless-steel tube (sometimes referred to as a cannula) is pushed into the incision through the skin and into the deep fat layer below the skins surface.

Once the cannula has been inserted the doctor will push and pull the tube repeatedly through the fat layer. As the tube moves, it break apart the fat cells. A vacuum pump built into the device removes the fat with suction power. You will be wrapped in elastic bandages for a few days around the treated area to give your skin a chance to rebond.

Please remember that the goal of liposuction is body reshaping technique. Only diet and exercise can result in real weight loss.

It is important to remember that liposuction is not a replacement for a diet or exercise program. The fat cells which are removed from your body do not come back. However all the body’s fat cells are not removed. If you have the procedure and continue to eat excessivly you may begin to notice the accumulation of fat in areas where fat did not exist.

The good news is the proportion of change in your body is permanent. It is this very reason why liposuction is one of the most common forms of cosmetic surgery.

We wish everyone were able to receive body liposuction if they need it but not everyone is a good candidate. It is important to note that liposuction is not a good alternative to dieting and exercise. To be considered aa good candidate for liposuction, one should be:

At least 18 years old

Overall good general health

Have tried a diet and exercise regime in the pase and find that the last 10 or 15 pounds tend to stick in certain pockets on the body.

Infection, heart or circulation problems or diabetes usually will usually prevent one’s eligibility for the procedure.

It should be noted in older people whose skin is less elastic, it does not tighten as easily to new shape. In such cases, another procedure known as a tummy tuck may be added to the liposuction.
